BeSt Wien – Austria’s largest fair for careers, studies and further education
BeSt Wien – short for Careers, Studies and Further Education – is Austria’s largest educational fair and career information fair. Organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, and the Austrian Public Employment Service, it offers visitors a unique range of information on education, studies and career paths – with free admission.
The aim of BeSt is to provide young people with guidance in their education and career paths and to support them in discovering their individual interests and talents. Over 350 exhibitors provide information on topics such as apprenticeships, Matura (school leaving certificate), studies, further education, career entry and much more over four exciting days of the fair.
The diversity of the offerings is intended to encourage confident decision-making – and at the same time shows that educational paths are changeable.
The BeSt Wien focuses on the central themes of career, studies and further education. Visitors receive diverse insights into education and study paths, career entry opportunities and further education, supplemented by workshops and personal consultations. Special attention is paid to current issues for the future such as digitization, sustainability and the shortage of skilled workers. The fair is aimed at young people, students, career changers, as well as parents and teachers.
At BeSt Wien, the approximately 65,000 visitors can expect far more than classic exhibition stands. In addition to a large selection of exhibitors, there are informative lectures, hands-on workshops and lively discussions on topics such as application, apprenticeship, (international) studies and new career opportunities.
The aim of BeSt Wien is to offer pupils and all those interested in further education the widest possible range of information.
At the fair, all visitors should be encouraged to discover their talents and interests in order to make informed career and education decisions. BeSt Wien takes place once a year.
