more information
Forum: EUROMOBIL is a forum for students, companies and university lecturers who are interested in above-average performance.
Additional training program: EUROMOBIL is an additional training program of the Faculty of Business Administration Innsbruck based on voluntary participation for particularly performance-oriented students of the diploma program (from the 2nd part of studies) or bachelor program (from the 5th semester) and master program.
Idea: EUROMOBIL was developed in the conviction
Graduates of a business administration degree at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Innsbruck should be enabled to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to new situations that are often poorly structured and characterized by different interests. It is often more important to ask the “right” questions than to know the “right” answers from the outset.
Therefore, EUROMOBIL primarily aims to give all participants the opportunity to learn through openness, but at the same time to offer them the outlines of a framework that they can fill independently and on their own responsibility in small groups for their personal and professional development. In this way, we want to contribute to ensuring that educated, not conceited, business academics leave the Faculty of Business Administration Innsbruck. Practical relevance means engaging with and understanding practice, not blindly adapting to practice!
Within the framework of a year that begins in November and ends no later than October of the following year with an official graduation event, problems brought up by companies are processed by a project team consisting of a university supervisor, one/two students and the company mentor.
The processing time for the projects is – depending on the complexity of the task – between 3 and a maximum of 9 months. The exact start date of the project can be determined individually during the year. In principle, all topics that fall into the subject area of our institutes at the Faculty of Business Administration can be processed.
With the support of the university supervisor, the students create a project plan that includes the schedule, the content approach and the costs incurred. The further course of the projects depends on the requirements of the company. Interviews are conducted, literature is researched, new procedures are developed or questionnaires are analyzed. The work on site is important. The students learn directly in the company, whereby the time frame can look very different.
Students
A maximum of up to 20 students can participate per year. The university supervisors select committed and performance-oriented students and, in coordination with the EUROMOBIL representative, these are presented to the entrepreneur at the project kick-off. If the students meet the company’s expectations, the project can be started (the basis for this is a target agreement in which the exact task and all details important for the project are contained). Minimum requirement for an application to EUROMOBIL: Diploma program (from the 2nd section), Bachelor program (from the 5th semester), Master program.
Mentors
Mentors are the representatives from the partner companies who work together with the students and supervisors in a team for the entire duration of the project. These act as clients, permanent advisors, critical discussion partners, assessors and sources of information. There is at least one mentor per participating company.
University lecturers
A maximum of 10 university lecturers who serve as technical and methodological advisors, as critical discussion partners and as contact points for the teams participate per year. The university supervisors volunteer to participate in EUROMOBIL.
