BeSt – Fair for Career, Studies and further Education

Austria’s largest career and educational fair in Innsbruck. The BeSt (the catchy abbreviation stands for “Beruf, Studium und Weiterbildung” [Career, Studies and Further Education]) is organized by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and the Austrian Public Employment Service and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016. In 2022, the large career and educational fair was represented for the 17th time in the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck – the extensive program is primarily aimed at young people and young adults who are looking for the right career and educational path. But the event can also be helpful for their parents. After all, especially in today’s age, there is a wealth of training and further education opportunities, which can quickly become overwhelming in everyday life.

Diverse Topics and Offers

The BeSt covers a broad spectrum of topics and adapts to the individual needs of the visitors. In addition to general information on apprenticeships, Matura (high school diploma) and studies, the fair offers targeted insights into professional fields and degree programs. Topics such as stays abroad, financial support opportunities, labor law issues or starting a business are also in focus. This versatile offer makes the BeSt an indispensable event for all those who want to develop professionally and in terms of education.

Lectures, Workshops and Personal Advice

The fair offers the more than 25,000 expected visitors far more than just information stands. Exciting lectures, interactive workshops and lively discussions cover topics such as application processes, youth coaching, studies abroad and new career paths. The focus is on personal advice and active participation – from hands-on activities to concrete assistance for individual questions. This interactive format makes the BeSt particularly valuable for all those who are looking for practical support.

A Fixture in the Tyrolean Event Calendar

The BeSt, which takes place every two years in the Innsbruck Messehalle, has long been established as an indispensable event. It offers young people and their relatives well-founded support in choosing a career and education. With its broad program, the BeSt contributes to creating orientation and perspectives in an increasingly complex educational and working world.

Organization of the
BeSt – Fair for Career, Studies and further Education

The BeSt (fair for careers, studies and further education) is organized by SoWi-Holding at the university locations of Innsbruck and Klagenfurt on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and the Austrian Public Employment Service.

SoWi-Holding (founded in 1985) has more than 40 years of experience in the dialogue between theory and practice, university and business. Following the PINN-Karriere Tage, which were successfully organized by SoWi-Holding from 1999 to 2003, the career & competence fair has been held in Innsbruck since 2008, and the master lounge has also been held there since 2016.  The SoWi-Holding has been organizing the career & competence fair since 2008, and since 2016, it has also organized the master lounge in Innsbruck.
