The following terms and conditions are not from SoWi-Holding GmbH <\/em><br><em>(As of September 10, 2026)<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Organization<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Federal Ministry of Education (BMB), as well as the Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research (BMFWF), in cooperation with the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS Austria), are the organizers of BeSt \u2013 the fair for careers, study, and further education. The organization is handled by the responsible department for Event and Venue Management of the BMB. A fair office has been commissioned for the fundamental organization and implementation.  <\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Goals<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The fair aims to provide pupils, students, parents and educators with an overview of as many education and training programmes as possible as well as job opportunities after high school graduation.<\/p>\n<p>Students should have the opportunity to obtain information about the study conditions at foreign universities as well as about postgraduate study opportunities. Visitors should be enabled to have direct contact with companies with specific training and job offers. Information about opportunities for personal, professional and academic further education should be provided. Exhibitors contribute to achieving the goals by providing qualified advisory staff.   <\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Admission requirements<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To ensure implementation of the goals stated in item 2, the organizers reserve the right to examine submitted registration applications. Confirmation of a registration, including stand or space allocation, is the sole responsibility of the organizers. From the transmission of an order or registration confirmation, no legal entitlement to admission to a future trade fair can be derived.   <\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Rental charges<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The rental prices can be found in the online shop or in the participation options. The rental includes: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>rent for space<\/li>\n<li>Assembly and dismantling of the booth as well as basic equipment<\/li>\n<li>standard power supply and power consumption. Extra fees will be charged depending on size and power usage <\/li>\n<li>Fascia lettering (up to 80 characters)<\/li>\n<li>Entry in the exhibitor directory (online and print)<\/li>\n<li>advertising the fair in various media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Payment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Invoicing takes place at the beginning of February; the account number and bank details required for payment will also be provided. The full booth rent must be paid before the start of the assembly work. Timely payment of the participation fees is a prerequisite for handing over the allocated booth. If the invoice amount has not been received by the organizers by the due date, they are entitled to allocate the booth to a third party without further grace period and to invoice the exhibitor for cancellation fees in accordance with item 6.   <\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Registration, rent, withdrawal provisions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The registration deadlines can be found in the participation options. For the exhibitor, registration and ordering a booth at BeSt in Vienna becomes legally binding through the company-authorised signature or the order via the sowiholding.at online shop. For the organizers, agreements made only become legally valid if the registration has been confirmed by the fair office by email. If no confirmation is received within 6 working days after submission of the registration, you are requested to contact the fair office.   <\/p>\n<p>For cancellations after February 10, the full booth rent is due and must be paid within four weeks of the cancellation date. The organizers\u2019 right to assert further claims for damages remains unaffected. The cancellation fees must also be paid if the originally agreed area can be sublet to a third party.  <\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong> Force majeure, important reasons<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the event cannot be held due to force majeure, such as strike, political events, epidemics, natural events, fire, official orders, delayed or missing official approvals, changes in law, terrorism, restrictions on energy supply, spread of an infectious disease and related official requirements and orders, or other important reasons that are not within the organizers\u2019 sphere of influence and make holding the event unreasonable or impossible, the exhibitors will be informed thereof without delay. The organizers are also entitled to cancel the event for economic reasons. <\/p>\n<p>In the event of a corresponding cancellation, the exhibitor is not obliged to pay the fee to the organizers in accordance with item 5, or a fee already paid must be refunded by the organizers. Services already rendered are excluded from this. <\/p>\n<p>The organizers are also entitled to postpone the event while maintaining the contractual relationship. In the event of a postponement of the event, the exhibitor shall have no claims of any kind whatsoever, in particular no claims for damages or rights of withdrawal. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong> Booth allocation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>According to the fair concept, the exhibitors are assigned to themed areas to make it easier for visitors to find their way around. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A <\/strong>&#8211; General advice and information<\/p>\n<p><strong>G <\/strong>&#8211; Health and social services<\/p>\n<p><strong>J <\/strong>&#8211; Administration and justice<\/p>\n<p><strong>K <\/strong>&#8211; Art and culture<\/p>\n<p><strong>M <\/strong>&#8211; Media and communication<\/p>\n<p><strong>S <\/strong>&#8211; Languages<\/p>\n<p><strong>T <\/strong>&#8211; Technology and natural sciences<\/p>\n<p><strong>U <\/strong>&#8211; Universities, universities of applied sciences, teacher training<\/p>\n<p>W \u2013 Business<\/p>\n<p>If this is necessary, the organizer is entitled, at its sole discretion, to round the ordered booth area up or down by up to 10% in order to adapt it to the structural conditions of the exhibition space.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong> Subletting and co-exhibitors<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Subletting and transfer of space to other institutions or companies within a booth are only possible with the written consent of the fair office. The provision of advertising space by an exhibitor to external companies is generally not permitted and, in individual cases, requires consultation with the fair office. The exhibitor is obliged to name co-exhibitors as well as subtenants for entry in the exhibitor directory. The general terms and conditions for exhibitors also apply to subtenants and co-exhibitors.   <\/p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li><strong> Venue, opening hours and booth staffing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The event will take place in the VIECON Hall C of Messe Wien. It is open from March 4 to 6, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, and on March 7, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The exhibitor must ensure that the booth is continuously staffed during opening hours. Early dismantling of the fair booth is not permitted. Otherwise, the organizers are entitled to terminate the contract without notice and to assert claims for damages against the exhibitor.      <\/p>\n<p>All special events and demonstrations that go beyond the exhibitor\u2019s normal presentation of career and (further) education offers require the organizer\u2019s written approval. If these disrupt the fair operation through noise, dirt, exhaust fumes, etc., the organizers are entitled, even after approval has been granted, to restrict or prohibit the demonstrations without the exhibitor being entitled to any compensation claims. The exhibitor is obliged to independently make any required registrations with AKM or other competent collecting societies.  <\/p>\n<ol start=\"11\">\n<li><strong> Assembly and dismantling of the booth and booth decoration<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The exact times for setting up and dismantling the booth decoration will be communicated to exhibitors in good time. They must be strictly observed by the exhibitor. Exceeding these times is only permitted with the fair office\u2019s written consent. Only fireproof, non-flammable materials may be used as booth decoration. For own decoration materials, a corresponding certificate must be submitted to the fair office before the start of the fair. Any structural engineering reports must be kept available. When using audiovisual equipment, the exhibitor must ensure that it does not disturb neighboring exhibitors. Each exhibitor will be informed of the size and location of their booth in good time. Structural changes are no longer permitted from the start of the set-up day.        <\/p>\n<p>The exhibitor is obliged to design its fair booth in such a way that the boundaries of its booth are not exceeded and adjacent areas are not disturbed by exhibits or advertising materials. The height of booth constructions (including lettering and decorations) may not exceed 250 cm. Higher structures are only permitted with prior submission of construction plans and written approval by the fair office. These plans must be submitted no later than two months before the start of the fair. Multi-storey booths and glass constructions are generally prohibited.    <\/p>\n<p>During the set-up and dismantling periods, each exhibitor must take particular care to ensure the safety of his goods. If the dismantling time announced by the exhibition office is exceeded, the organizer has the right to dismantle and store the stand constructions and their contents at the expense and risk of the exhibitor. After dismantling, the original condition of the rented space must be restored. Damage caused by improper handling of the stand areas, structures and equipment must be compensated by the exhibitor.    Reference is expressly made to the house rules and the technical guidelines of the venue.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"12\">\n<li><strong> Booth construction<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Booth construction is carried out with aluminium uprights as well as aluminium frames and homogeneous panels inserted therein as wall elements. No nailing, screwing, painting or gluing is permitted on the uprights and frames. Painting over, drilling through, perforating the homogeneous panels, wallpapering with non-removable wallpaper, as well as bonding with carpet adhesive tapes is not permitted; otherwise, the costs incurred will be invoiced. Decoration elements attached by the exhibitor must be removed and disposed of by the exhibitor without residue after the end of the event; otherwise, a fee for additional effort will be charged. Until the proper return of the rented material or furniture to the booth construction company, the exhibitor is also liable for accidental damage. In the event of improper return, the new price of the missing or damaged items will be charged. Complaints will only be accepted up to the start of the event. Exhibitors with their own booth construction may only begin assembly after the booth area has been released by the general booth construction company (Standout GmbH). Special services provided by Messe Wien (suspensions or similar) are billed directly. Additional connections for electricity and water as well as other technical supplies can be provided to the exhibitor against payment of connection and usage fees. Installation on the supply lines may only be carried out by authorised partner companies of the exhibition grounds. All devices, systems and installations of the exhibitor must comply with the applicable standards as well as the legal regulations and requirements for the event. Reference is expressly made to the house rules and the technical guidelines of the venue.            <\/p>\n<ol start=\"13\">\n<li><strong> Parking and transport\/delivery<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Vehicles of any kind may not be driven into the exhibition halls. The exhibitor must obtain written permission from the organizer in advance for special transport. From the time of set-up, vehicles may only be parked in the designated car parks; in particular, entrances, access roads and fire brigade zones must be always kept clear. Trucks over 3.5 tons may not be parked in the car parks during the trade fair. The Organizer is entitled to have incorrectly parked vehicles removed at the owner&#8217;s expense.    <\/p>\n<p>Messe Wien (VIECON) and the organisers shall not accept any consignments on behalf of the exhibitor and shall not be liable for any losses or for incorrect or late deliveries. If deliveries need to be sent to Messe Wien in advance, these can be handled by DHL for a fee. The relevant contact details for DHL can be obtained from the BeSt office.  <\/p>\n<ol start=\"14\">\n<li><strong> Advertising in the exhibition halls<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The distribution of political advertising or election campaign materials of any kind as well as printed materials or promotional gifts of any kind, or the carrying out of other advertising and marketing activities outside the allocated booth area (including in the parking lots) is prohibited.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of violations of competition law, the organizers are entitled to close the exhibitor\u2019s booth, whereby all corresponding claims of the exhibitor are excluded.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"15\">\n<li><strong> Direct sales, contracts, prize draws<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Goods, products or brochures may only be sold with the express written authorization of BeSt office.<\/p>\n<p>No deals may be concluded or members recruited on a binding basis.<\/p>\n<p>The organization of competitions of any kind requires prior agreement with the BeSt office.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"16\">\n<li><strong> Exhibitor directory<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>An entry of the name of the institution\/university or the company in the exhibitor directory and on the BeSt websites is mandatory for all exhibitors (including co-exhibitors) and is included in the rental price. After the exhibitor directory has gone to print (end of January of the event year), the entry will only be made on the websites. <\/p>\n<p>The exhibitor is responsible for ensuring that its own information in the exhibitor directory is correct and complete. The organizers assume no liability for incorrect entries or information in the exhibitor directory (online and print) as well as in other fair printed materials. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"17\">\n<li><strong> Internet access at the fair<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>CANCOM GmbH offers internet access via WiFi or network cable; these must be ordered directly from CANCOM GmbH. Further information about the offer and the costs incurred can be found at: <\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/shop.viecon.cancom.com\/exhibitions\/731 (<a href=\"https:\/\/shop.viecon.cancom.com\/exhibitions\/731\">https:\/\/shop.viecon.cancom.com\/exhibitions\/731<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Billing is carried out directly by CANCOM GmbH.<\/p>\n<p>For the operation of your own Wi-Fi equipment, the BeSt-office can provide you with the relevant specifications issued by CANCOM GmbH.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"18\">\n<li><strong> Insurance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>No insurance for the exhibitor\u2019s objects, materials or booth is included. Exhibitors may obtain insurance for objects and equipment brought to the fair; conditions will be communicated in due time. Books, brochures, printed materials and floral decorations are not insured.   <\/p>\n<p>No liability is assumed for items deposited for safekeeping with the BeSt-office or in Messe Wien storage areas.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"19\">\n<li><strong> Security<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The exhibition of weapons or other prohibited items is only permitted to the exhibitor with the express written approval of the fair office. In addition, the exhibitor is obliged to strictly comply with all relevant legal provisions on the safekeeping of weapons. In the event of violations of these provisions, the organizers are entitled to take security measures at the exhibitor\u2019s expense or to close the fair booth. The exhibitor shall hold the organizers harmless and indemnified from claims by third parties arising due to violations of the specified security regulations or applicable laws.   <\/p>\n<ol start=\"20\">\n<li><strong> Liability<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The exhibitor is liable for damage caused by it, its employees, agents or its exhibits and equipment to persons or property. It undertakes to indemnify the organizers against corresponding claims by third parties. The organizers assume no liability for theft, loss or damage to the exhibitor\u2019s exhibits, equipment and vehicles. With the exception of personal injury, the organizers\u2019 liability for damage to the exhibitor, regardless of type and legal basis, is limited to such damage that was demonstrably caused by the organizers or their vicarious agents intentionally or through gross negligence. \u00a71304 ABGB remains unaffected. Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage, pure financial loss or loss of profit is excluded. The organizers\u2019 liability is limited in total to the amount of the contractually agreed fee. The exhibitor must notify the organizers of claims immediately, but no later than within 7 working days after becoming aware of them, in writing; otherwise, these shall lapse. Claims for damages must be asserted within 3 months of the damage-causing event. Further warranty and liability claims of the exhibitor, insofar as legally permissible, are excluded.         <\/p>\n<ol start=\"21\">\n<li><strong> Data protection<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The data transmitted to the fair office will be used exclusively for purposes related to BeSt (communication, stand invoicing, catalog entry, internet presence, media partners, etc.). The processing of personal data by the organizers takes place in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. If the exhibitor transmits personal data of third parties (in particular representatives, contact persons, clerks, or other employees of their company) within the scope of the fair registration or contract processing, they are obliged to ensure the legality of the transmission.   &nbsp;The exhibitor is liable for all disadvantages incurred by the organizer due to a violation of this obligation. The data protection declarations of the organizers can be found at: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmfwf.gv.at\/datenschutz.html\">Data protection &#8211; Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmb.gv.at\/Ministerium\/informationspflicht\/datenschutz.html\">Data protection \u2013 Federal Ministry of Education<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ams.at\/organisation\/ueber-ams\/datenschutzbestimmungen\">Our privacy policy | AMS<\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"22\">\n<li><strong> Photo, film and audio recordings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>During the fair, the organizer may in particular produce and use overview and atmosphere recordings of the event and fair booths for the purposes of public relations, documentation and reporting; the exhibitor and its booth staff shall tolerate these recordings. Recordings that show individual booth staff in an identifiable manner will only be made with their knowledge and consent. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>23. Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Insofar as \u201cwritten\u201d approvals or declarations of the fair office are required in these terms and conditions, transmission by email is sufficient for this purpose. Declarations must be addressed to the organizers\u2019 email address stated in the fair contract or in the registration confirmation. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"24\">\n<li>Liability for employees<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The exhibitor is obliged to pass on these terms and conditions as well as the contractual components contained within them and other conditions stated in the offer in full to his employees, representatives, co-exhibitors and other trade fair participants and to ensure compliance with them. He shall be liable for compliance with these provisions in the same way as for his own negligence. Any deviating provisions or terms and conditions of the exhibitor shall be legally valid only with the express written consent of the exhibitor.  <\/p>\n<ol start=\"25\">\n<li><strong> Place of jurisdiction <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Place of performance and place of jurisdiction are Vienna; exclusively Austrian law shall apply, to the exclusion of any further referrals to foreign law.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"26\">\n<li><strong> Severability clause<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Should individually provisions of this contract be or become invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this contract. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision whose effects come closest to the economic objective pursued by the contracting parties with the invalid or unenforceable provision. The above provisions shall apply accordingly in case the contract proves to be incomplete. If the interpretation is inadmissible for legal reasons, the contracting parties undertake to make supplementary agreements accordingly. In the event of non-agreement, the relevant statutory provisions at the time of performance shall apply on a subsidiary basis.    <\/p>\n<ol start=\"27\">\n<li><strong> Final remark<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The house rules and the technical guidelines of the venue are integral parts of the contract.<\/p>\n<p>The fair office and the organizers have the right to decide on all cases not listed in items 1) &#8211; 26) of these participation conditions and on the measures required for this.
